Key Responsibilities

  • Working with internal/external stakeholders to identify requirements and priorities
  • Establishing and driving product release plans that satisfy requirements and priorities, with high implementation quality
  • Assessing the costs, risks, and dependencies for each project
  • Providing ongoing communication of the release plan to the relevant stakeholders
  • Fostering effective communications with team members for status updates and issue reporting
  • Identifying, anticipating and tackling technical issues
  • Considering trade-offs and risk mitigation options
  • Identifying and removing blockers to ensure delivery of project
  • Working with key stakeholders to make project plan course corrections

Technical Leadership

  • Maintain a high level of technical expertise to work effectively with team members
  • Keep abreast of technology industry trends, solutions, standards and methodologies
  • Identify and drive process improvements

Team Management

  • Recruiting well-qualified professionals
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Providing ongoing feedback, coaching and mentorship

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in software design, development, and/or consulting in cloud systems or web services, with a strong background in leading software development teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to lead technical discussions and present complex ideas to diverse audiences
  • Good understanding of business drivers and ability to articulate them clearly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in hiring and onboarding engineering talent.
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop technical talent within the organization.
  • Interpersonal skills, with the ability to set goals, provide feedback, and foster a positive team culture.
  • Strong fundamentals in all or any of the following: TypeScript (Node.js and React) and Java (Spring boot).
  • Hands-on Experience with AWS or other cloud providers
  • API development experience (REST, GraphQL, gRPC)
  • Experience with CI/CD concepts and working with a deployment pipeline such as Jenkins
