Job Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge digital health platform. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and microservices that power critical applications used by a global user base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and message queues.
  • Develop high-quality, maintainable, and performant code that meets business and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet business objectives, compliance standards, and product specifications.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment of new features and enhancements.
  • Support database integration, interface development, and continuous improvement of existing applications.
  • Contribute to cloud infrastructure design, including AWS, containerized services, and microservices architecture.
  • Document technical processes and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of relevant backend software development experience.
  • Strong programming experience in Java and/or JavaScript; Node.js knowledge is a plus.
  • Expertise in cloud technologies (AWS), microservices, RESTful APIs, and containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency with database technologies such as MySQL, DynamoDB, and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Vue, React, Angular) and responsive/adaptive web design principles.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design, database design, and software design patterns.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, biosensors, or related domains.
  • Prior work with time-series databases and CI/CD pipelines.
