Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Software Engineer (Product) in the United States. In this role, you will join a fast-scaling environment where engineering foundations are still being shaped and every contribution has an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable, secure backend services and APIs from the ground up.
  • Make key architectural decisions that balance speed, data integrity, and long-term maintainability.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to support essential customer workflows.
  • Own infrastructure, observability, monitoring, and overall performance for the systems you build.
  • Contribute to engineering best practices, code quality standards, and backend culture.
  • Partner with leadership to shape engineering strategy and product execution.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of backend engineering experience in high-growth or fast-paced environments.
  • Strong proficiency with Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, and cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
  • Experience designing distributed systems and robust APIs at scale.
  • Strong product and systems-thinking mindset with the ability to balance performance and speed.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, evolving startup environments.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and cross-functional partnership skills.

Bonus

  • Experience in payments, tax, accounting, or regulatory tech.
  • Background in infrastructure/platform engineering.
  • Experience scaling monolith-to-service architectures or event-driven systems.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL, Kafka, Terraform, or container orchestration tools.
