Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Data Platform in the United States. As a Staff Software Engineer on the Data Platform team, you will play a critical role in architecting and building scalable infrastructure to transform large volumes of raw data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of scalable backend services for data discovery and data lineage systems.
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance, fault-tolerant data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members, fostering professional growth.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align product design, project execution, and operational goals.
- Ensure high-quality, maintainable code that processes petabytes of data efficiently.
- Drive team timelines, roadmap deliverables, and project commitments to successful completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience as a data engineer or data pipeline engineer.
- Strong development experience with Python and SQL.
- Expertise in AWS services (EKS, Lambda, ETL) and cloud-native data solutions.
- Experience designing and developing distributed systems.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, continuous delivery environment.
- Bonus experience: prior team management, infrastructure monitoring, cross-functional collaboration, autonomous vehicle data workflows.
