Liquid Personnel is recruiting a skilled and experienced Team Manager to lead a dynamic children’s social work team within its client’s Children’s Services department in Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident leader with a strong safeguarding background and a passion for driving quality and performance.

Job Summary

As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of 7 social workers, including 1 Advanced Practitioner, within a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a children’s social work team
• Oversee complex safeguarding cases and risk management
• Support staff in delivering high-quality assessments and interventions
• Drive performance and meet service targets
• Promote a child-centred, strengths-based approach
• Collaborate with multi-agency partners
• Provide reflective supervision and professional development

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in children’s social care management
• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practice
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
• Commitment to improving outcomes for children and families
• Comfortable working in a hybrid model (minimum onsite presence required)
