Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Product Manager – Mercury Controllers in California (USA). As a Product Manager for Mercury Controllers, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development and lifecycle of advanced physical access control products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze field insights through installer studies, competitive research, and customer feedback.
  • Define market and product opportunities, including key initiatives, product requirements, and go-to-market plans.
  • Deliver clear and actionable product requirements while contributing to the Mercury roadmap.
  • Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to optimize Mercury controller solutions.
  • Manage customer requirements and expectations throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Monitor product performance metrics and guide improvements post-launch.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for development teams, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Create and maintain product documentation, marketing materials, and sales collateral.
  • Ensure internal and external documentation repositories are up-to-date.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in product management or related roles.
  • Strong expertise in low-voltage electronics and hardware, with hands-on experience in physical access control (PACS) and/or intrusion detection (IDS).
  • Experience in product evaluation, competitive analysis, and reading/interpreting technical specifications.
  • Ability to present ideas effectively to diverse audiences, including leadership and development teams.
  • Knowledge of software development processes, system architecture, data structures, APIs, and web technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (Scrum, Jira).
  • Strong technical product management skills, with experience contributing to product roadmaps and GTM strategies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
