Job Summary

A WWW Engineer I prepares and reviews engineering plans, designs, specifications and cost estimates. Work of this class may involve overseeing the work of drafting, sub-professional engineering and other personnel. Incumbents receive moderate supervision from a technical supervisor. Employees in this class work a conventional workweek. Work is performed in an office setting under normal working conditions. Work requires minimal physical exertion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review engineering plans and designs.
  • Oversee the work of drafting and sub-professional engineering personnel.
  • Conduct engineering investigations and prepare technical reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Engineer-In-Training certificate from the State of Maryland may be required.
  • Current licensure as a Professional Engineer issued by the Maryland State Board of Professional Engineers or equivalent out-of-state license may be required.
